In 1988 the Bernd Stolz GmbH company was founded and the B/S-Spange brace brought on the market. Since then the brace has been used successfully by chiropodists, in cosmetic salons and by doctors in many countries.

The fact that it's easy to use and can be applied in seconds to inflamed, painful, ingrown toenails, and that it stays in place, is what makes the brace so special.

The brace doesn't cause pressure when wearing shoes, is comfortable to wear, is almost invisible, is waterproof and can be painted with nail polish.

That's what satisfies every patient!

The B/S Spange brace is made of plastic strengthened with glass fibre. This thin, narrow, flat spring strip is stuck across the ingrown nail.

We call this application of the brace.

The resulting restoring forces lift the edges of the nail at each side, flatten the curvature of the nail, correct it and make it possible for the painful nail edges to heal up.

The brace system of the future!

has been a member of the German Chiropodist's Association (ZFD) since 1962. For many years he was the district leader and training consultant for the ZFD in Bavaria. In 1985 he developed the B/S-Spange brace, which received its European patent in 1987. The B/S- Spange High-Form brace was brought on the market in 1993 and in 1997 the B/S-Spange Quick brace was registered for patent in Europe and in the USA.
